Broods came onto my radar at the very beginning of this year
with their song “Bridges”. That song just barely missed the Top 100, coming in
at number 106. Their second single “Mother & Father” also missed the list,
coming in at 126. The third time was a
charm for Broods as “Four Walls” is a sweeping kind of love song. Not as sad as
their previous single but with the lyric “fallen at the hand of a perfect man”
this doesn’t seem like all is ending well in this one either.
With all the synthpop around these days it is hard to stick
out but I think there is a place for Broods in this topsy turvy Chvrches,
Purity Ring, Pure Bathing Culture world we live in!
