#90 Spoon - "Inside Out"

Spoon released their 8^th album, They Want My Soul, in 2014 and if you have not heard it or heard Spoon, the time is now! They are a good old Texas rock band that has stayed indie despite probably having multiple opportunities to sign to a major label. (so good for them!)

“Inside Out” is one of the more mellow tracks on the album and it fits beautifully with the other more uptempo tracks on the album (one of which will be played later in this Top 100). One standout aspect is that the beat, I don't believe ever stops, pauses or changes speed the entire song. It's not something you notice at first but it's almost just hypnotic. I think this song could be 45 minutes and I wouldn't notice.


Apparently this is one of their favorite songs to play live and I can see why.  It may just be one of Spoon's best songs ever actually. It really gets better with each listen.
