#89 Zola Jesus - "Dangerous Days"

Zola Jesus is Nika Danilova from Wisconsin. She has a unique style of dark pop, electronic and even a little industrial stuff in her earlier days.  Her 5^th album Taiga is much more pop than industrial though and it has lended itself quite well to giving her a bit more notoriety as of late.

The first single off of Taiga is this one, Dangerous Days and it spent 15 weeks in my Top 100, climbing all the way to number 9.

 

Nika is currently touring and if you like this song, I’d advise you to check out a show.  If you are in the Baltimore/DC area she is playing both the Black Cat and the Ottobar at the end of January.
