#8 Spoon - "Do You"

Another song from Spoon in the Top 100 and their 2nd ever Top 10 song. They reached #6 in 2010 with "Written In Reverse" and get close to that number this year. With 3 songs in the Top 500, Spoon's 2014 album "They Want My Soul" is one of the top ranked albums of the year.

"Do You" is almost the perfect Spoon song. It is one of the songs that if someone had never heard the band you could play this as a perfect example. Pitchfork says:  “Do You” is not just a strong Spoon song, but one that can stand alongside “I Turn My Camera On” or “You Got Yr. Cherry Bomb” or “June’s Foreign Spell” or whichever is your favorite. 

The aforementioned Pitchfork listed this as #29 of the year, Consequence of Sound said it was #7, WTMD put it at #9.  I split the difference and say its here at the #8 position.
